Ask and you shall receive! A lot of you were interested in local shopping and boutiques in Pittsburgh, so every week or so I will be spotlighting one of my favorite boutiques in the Burgh.
Before I dive right in on my first spotlight, I want to touch on how important it is to shop local. Local businesses care about and are invested in the well-being of the community and its future. When you purchase at locally owned businesses rather than nationally owned stores, more money is kept in the community. So next time you need a cute outfit for your Friday night out, head to a local boutique rather than a large national retailer.
That brings me to my first Boutique Spotlight: Number 14 located in Central Lawrenceville. Located on Butler Street, Number 14 is known for being chic and classic. The boutique sells women’s clothing and accessories, as well as gift items, such as candles, paper goods and cards. The boutique is owned by a mother-daughter duo, so their merchandise appeals to all ages. Most of the items sold in the store range from $50-$120.
Number 14 is also famously known for their aesthetic. I was first drawn to this boutique because of their unique tile flooring in their dressing rooms. I saw a picture on Instagram of the “Flawless Darling” floor, and immediately knew I had to check it out. I came for a picture of the floor and left with $200 worth of clothing. Totally worth it.

Out of all the apparel they sell, they tend to have A LOT of dresses. It is the perfect place to shop if you need something cute to wear to a wedding, date night, brunch, etc. They are currently bringing in new Fall styles like sweaters, cardigans and fall skirts. All of their clothing is up to trend and great quality…so what more could you ask for?
